Christmas Greetings

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post.  Today I have a Christmas card to share with you using Crafty Secrets!  I have really enjoyed using all of the Crafty Secrets goodies recently. I like finding the perfect paper to pair them with too. I like using Basic Grey, and I dug deep into my stash to find this.  I knew I wanted something blue with these images. 

The first image I chose was the snowmen one. Once I get my main image placed on my card, I look through the other images, scraps, and stickers to find what I want to put with them.  Every time I chose something to go onto my card, I feel like it's personality is being made. I know that sounds corny, but have you ever looked at a card and it's given you a feeling or reminded you of something? See cards have personalities too! LOL!  A lot of times when I am using Craft Secrets goodies, I feel like I'm going back to my childhood. There are certain images that remind me of things from my past.

I hope you enjoy today's card. I'm waking up super early again! I'm still not used to the time change!  It's been a week, and I still keep falling asleep early and then waking up early!  I must say, though, I really enjoy the quiet mornings!  Happy Sunday!

Gingebread Holiday Planner

Good morning bloggers! I have one more project to share with you this week, and then I will get back to some cards!  I recently purchased some of the new notepads from Papertrey Ink so that I could make some of these cool lists!  I love making lists, and how fun to have some place to jot down your holiday notes. I always have so much on my mind during the hustle and bustle of the season!  I used two Papertrey sets called Take Note and Holiday Button Bits.  I dug out my rick rack because I thought it would work perfectly on here! And I was sifting through my buttons to find the perfect ones for my project! You know how I feel about buttons!  Yahoo!  The paper is by My Minds Eye.  I love the colors and the patterns!  I couldn't resist putting a little gingham bow on the gingerbread!  LOL!  I hope you have enjoyed all of my projects this week!  I've been a busy little bee in my stamp shop!

Chilly Tins

A long time ago I ordered tons of Maya Road tins!  I use them all the time and like to make gifts out of them. Well I must have been worried that the supply would run out! I have a ton of them!  I have really been enjoying my STOCK of goods though. I've been digging out all kinds of goodies that I have bought over the years. It is so nice to use what I have and get ready for the upcoming holidays!  I love to give handmade gifts.  I really have a lot of fun creating things for my friends!  And as I was making this tin, I was thinking of all kinds of different things that I could put into the tin.  I'm going to personalize my gifts this year by using these tins!  How cute is this?  And besides that, times are tight!  We need to get creative for gift-giving this year!  I hope you are enjoying my projects. I just can't seem to stop creating lately!  I LOVE IT!

Ice Day!

Good morning! Rise and shine!  I hope your morning is off to a great start!  If you didn't know, I adore penguins.  In Wisconsin, we live in a winter wonderland and wouldn't it be nice to be a penguin!  I like to collect little penguins! They just seem like such a little fun and cute critter!  So anyways I just wanted to share another one of my notebooks with you today!  These were super easy to put together because I had the notebooks all made up ahead of time.  I'm thinking of making some of the snowflake embellishments ahead of time to in all different colors. I use them a lot on my winter and Christmas cards so I thought it would be fun to just make a huge batch of them!  I went through a whole bottle of glitter glue last weekend. It's a good thing I just ordered some more!  I cannot get enough of the Crystal glitter glue! OBVIOUSLY!

Snowman Clear box of candy!

Good morning! I have another unique gift idea to share with you today!  I ordered some clear boxes from Clearbags.com to make this project.  If you go to their site, you can find the exact boxes I ordered by typing in "FPB159" into the search.  These boxes are just big enough for a little bit of scrunchy paper and two Ghirardelli bars!  I love this idea.  It seems you always need little treats for secret santas or other such things during the holidays.  The image I bought from Dustin Pike.  It is a digital image. I really like using them because you can print them out any size you want.  Once I colored my image, I cut it out and placed it on the clear box with some foam tape.  I added Stickles Glitter Glue of course to add some sparkle.  Doesn't this guy just make you ready for some snow?  Okay! Maybe not for some of you!

Another pocket card

Good morning bloggers! I hope you are having a fine time surfing this morning!  I'd like to share another one of my pockets with you today!  When I first bought this paper, I was thinking the images were way too big for a card. I figured I could use it for other projects. So when I was digging through my stash of holiday paper, it caught my eye!  I thought this would be perfect for a pocket, plus I was also working on making some Gingerbreads from the new button set from PaperTrey Ink!  What a perfect combination! I'm working on directions for my pocket cards so that I can share them all with you. They are really a lot of fun to play with. I've been making some different sizes and also some with everyday images on them. I like to send my friends some stamped images or other goodies once in awhile, and I find the pockets to work great for this! 

Skating Notebook

Oh have I been busy in my stamp room lately! I have been having so much fun with projects!

I dug out some notebooks that I made up last year. I like to make a bunch of the notebooks with my Bind-It-All!  I make a ton of them and then decorate them as I go along!  I had a handful of them leftover from last year so this was fun. All I had to do was color an image and stick it on! Of course the fun part is adding all of that pretty ribbon!  You should have seen the ribbon flying around my craft room!  LOL!  I also punched out a snowflake with my Marvy Punch (it's the yellow size). Then I color it with my Copic Marker to coordinate with my notebook.  Finally, I add Stickles Crystal Glitter Glue to it. You have to let it dry for about a full day or night. Then I use a glue-dot to put a button in the center. I attach it to my finished project with some foam tape!  I cannot live without my foam tape!

I've been making so many little goodies for the upcoming holidays that I had to clean out some stuff to have a place to display my goodies on shelves!  It's like working at Santa's workshop!  Enjoy your day folks!

Angels on high

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday Post! Today I have a Christmas Crafty Secrets card to share with you!  For this card I used a combination of Crafty Secret projects (Vintage Cuts, Vintage booklets and even some Vintage stickers).  I really like to use bits and pieces when I am creating these college type cards.  I look for images that will go well together. Obviously my theme on this card is angels.  I also added some glitter with a glue pen to the angels fur on her coat. In real life this looks so pretty.  I've really enjoyed playing around with the vintage images from Crafty Secrets. It always makes me think of my childhood. 

Today I also wanted to give you an update on my biking.  I just hit my 700 mile mark this weekend. Since June 18th I have ridden 700 miles on my bike. My goal is to reach 1000 miles!  It is a big commitment, but I will tell you that the payoff is huge.  It feels so good after you have gotten your heart rate up for 30-40 minutes.  It's not always easy getting on the bike in the first place, but I always feel great afterwords!  Exercise is really important to me!  I have had some of you asking how I was coming along on my exercise, so I wanted to give an update!

Laughing Chickens

   Good morning! I told you that I can't stop making these easel cards! They are just too much fun! So where would we all be if we couldn't laugh once in awhile! It's important even when you have a bad day to laugh! So that was my theme and my thinking when I started this card.  I used more of my new October Afternoon paper from the Farm Freshline on this one!  There is something about these cluckers that just make ya grin!  Trust me! I was grinning and snickering the whole time I was making this card!  LOL!

Now if I start clucking, somebody slug me please!

Polar Tin

Well as I said, I have opened my gift-making workshop for the year. I like to come up with a bunch of holiday goodies. It is always nice to have some gifts on hand!  I love this big fella from Whippersnapper Designs. He is going on for some skiing this winter season!  He doesn't need much to keep himself warm! He is made for the frozen tundra!  The paper from My Minds Eye called Colorful Christmas makes it super easy to come up with a fun and bright project!  Eclectic Paperie also carry the dvd tins for the this project.  I have made a ton of these babies and love to give them as gifts. 

On the inside, there is a pocket on the side, and then a notebook and pen on the other side!  When I purchased the paper line, I also bought some of the cool brads and the chipboard. It is always fun to have embellishments that compliment the paper!

I almost want to breaking out in song:  "Let it snow! Let is snow! Let it snow!"  I said ALMOST!  Winter will be here before we know it!
